Two formats, two receiving arrangements
Bulk cement enquiries should describe the terminal, available storage and discharge equipment. Big-bag enquiries should describe lifting, protected storage, emptying and onward distribution. Neither format should be selected on an assumption that the receiving infrastructure will be arranged later.
The cement designation remains a separate decision. A change of packaging does not approve a different product specification. Conversely, a familiar grade does not make a proposed loading or unloading arrangement automatically compatible.
Questions to settle before requesting freight
Confirm the actual usable capacity at destination rather than the total theoretical capacity. Explain any limit on a single delivery, the receiving schedule and the planned transfer from the berth. For big bags, communicate lifting arrangements, bag configuration and how the importer intends to distribute the material.

Compare the full scope
Ask whether the quotation includes packaging, loading, freight, discharge and onward delivery, and identify any element still awaiting a third-party price. Two offers for the same tonnes can have different scopes. Compare the final specification and the practical operation, not just the headline price.
